    Favorite Finds

This week has started out cold, wet and cloudy in Atlanta. Spring is creeping around the corner, but the weather is reading more like the beginning of January. Due to the lack of sunshine and colder temperatures, I have found myself cooped up in the house drinking lots of coffee (those 4am feedings are killer) and doing some leisurely internet browsing. I thought I’d share a few of my favorite finds from the weekend.

I came across this soup recipe from one of my favorite food bloggers, Chungah from Damn Delicious, and it looks amazing. This Chicken Detox soup is immune-boosting and is loaded with tons of good veggies. I’m always on the hunt for a good soup or stew and this definitely looks like a winner. This recipe is currently on my “To Try” list on my refrigerator.

I’m on a reading challenge I’ve made for myself through one of my favorite apps Goodreads. I’ve always loved reading and there is nothing like being immersed in a riveting book that has your entire attention. This book is one that has done just that. You probably have heard about this book through some channel or another, but it is truly an inspiring, informative read and not to mention it is a beautiful coffee table book. And I mean seriously, who doesn’t love anything by Grace Bonney? In the Company of Women has been one of my favorite books to read and reread through over the last few months. It is a winner.

Since having Finn, I’m learning what it looks like to juggle motherhood and being a small business owner. It isn’t easy. But I’m quickly learning having the right equipment helps makes my day so much more manageable. And by equipment I mean the right diaper bag. This beauty by Fawn Design has been floating around on Social Media for the past several months. When I was pregnant I was drawn to it because of the clean simple lines as well as the functionality of it. I love a bag that is versatile (Hello! Crossbody to evening clutch). This diaper bag is perfect for running errands around town and has a chic vibe. It doubles as my purse and everything is easily accessible. Not only is the bag beautiful and well designed, it is also designed by a fellow woman entrepreneur. Got to love that!

I’ve always been a sucker for all things make-up and facial products. When I’m nursing Finn at 4AM and I need something to help me from falling asleep, I usually hop over to Youtube and watch makeup tutorials or reviews on new facial products. For the last several months I have been actively using the Sunday Riley product line and I seriously love it. I am a huge fan of face oils and love it as an alternative to traditional serums or lotions. This pair has been my go-to lately and have given my skin a refreshed and even texture.

Interior Design Blogs are my jam. There is so much inspiration to be found from the various textures, colors, and pairing of materials. It is truly is an art form. I love seeing before and after photos of a space transformed. An empty drab room going from nothing special to a space filled with warmth, light, color, and personality. The designers behind these inspirational rooms are always intriguing. I have a list of my go-to favorites and this one I recently added to my top five.
